Granville Oldham is a choral conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, having made nearly two hundred appearances in more than half of the United States, as well as in Kenya, Jamaica, and Mexico.
As a gospel/pop vocal soloist, he has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada, including appearances at Carnegie Hall with the Alabama Boychoir and at the Calgary Stampede with the Young Canadians.
Mr. Oldham has taught on the faculties of the University of Southern California, University of Alabama, San Jose State University, Los Medanos Community College, and Pittsburg High School. He also worked with the Alabama Choir School and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.
He holds degrees from San Jose State and the University of the Pacific, and is a DMA candidate at the University of Southern California, where he directed the University Chorus from 2000-2004. He also conducts the Cathedral Choir at Second Baptist Church of Los Angeles, and serves as music consultant for LA’s B.E.S.T. after school arts program.
He is a contributor for the Hinshaw publication “In Quest of Answers, Vol. II” and is listed in the 2005 Marquis’ “Who’s Who in America.” His 2004-2005 schedule will take him to Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, New York, and numerous locations throughout California.
